The ‘Graze and Play’ vibe of the best nourishing local produce, chargrilled meats and fish, oyster bar at brand new restaurant Picnicka has now opened on the Thirty Eight Elizabeth food and beverage terrace.

Born of the Alpino, Clarence Bistro, and Bar Centrale Group, Picnicka now takes centre stage on the sunny north-facing food and beverage terrace.

The seated rustic-but-chic restaurant is focussed on providing inspiring produce. It aims to surprise and delight day-to-day foot traffic in a welcoming, accessible way. One that encourages tasting and gathering in much the same way a marketplace would occupy this special cornerstone of any close community.

In every area of Picnicka, it’s the produce that comes first. The drive is to create exceptional Kiwi cuisine from raw ingredients that pay homage to local flavours and simple, delicious food you can enjoy any day of the week. Small and large plates are available, as well as aged meats from a display cabinet that will be grilled on an Argentinian chargrill, and an oyster bar.

Playfully the vibe of a picnic extends tastefully through to the décor, referencing cane, checks and raw materials like wheat and dried flowers. The interior feels comfortable and established with the use of aged timber and a New York loft-style high stud, and steel windows.

More than 164 car parks are available for visitors, shoppers, and diners. This makes the visiting experience seamless from beginning to end. Visitor parking is accessed off First Avenue and is split over four levels. Electric vehicle chargers are available for use. See our parking guide below.

The parking management system guides shoppers and diners to available spaces and provides easy-to-use technology to obtain free parking with purchases from any of Thirty Eight Elizabeth’s stores or food and beverage outlets.
